"Amazon Canada has been a game-changer for us. Within months it accounted for over 10% of our US Sales which has been incredible! Because the customers are so similar to the US, I think most products that do well on Amazon US will thrive on Amazon CA!"

Ready to sell in Canada?

Whether you’re a local business new to selling online or a seasoned exporter, Amazon makes selling in Canada easier. Get started with a few basic steps.

Step 1

Decide what to sell
While selecting products to sell on Amazon.ca, make sure they comply with all laws and product standards in Canada. Make sure they also comply with Amazon’s category, product, and listing restrictions for Canada.

Step 2

Register and list your products
If you’re new to Amazon, you can register to sell and create a Canada account. As part of that process, you’ll complete seller-identity verification and a tax survey, and you’ll assign a deposit method for your sales proceeds using a bank account located in Canada. Then you’ll be ready to list your products for sale on Amazon.ca.

If you already sell with Amazon in the US or Mexico, you can start selling in Canada using your North American Unified Account. If you have an account for another global Amazon store, you can create a Canada account and link it to your existing account. In either case, you can use the Build International Listings tool to add your existing offers in other stores to Amazon.ca with synchronized pricing.

Step 3

Ship and fulfill
There are multiple ways to deliver your products to Canada:

Step 4

Manage your business
Use Amazon tools like the Amazon Currency Converter to manage and automate your global operations. We offer a variety of tools and programs to help you run your business, reach new customers, and grow your sales.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to create an additional selling account to sell on Amazon Canada?
If you have a Professional selling plan for the US or Mexico (Amazon.com or Amazon.com.mx), you can sell on Amazon Canada (Amazon.ca) using your existing selling account for no additional fee. Go to your Sell Globally dashboard to get started.
What does it cost to sell with Amazon Canada?
Amazon has two selling plans so you can choose the right combination of tools and programs for the right price.
  • If you sign up for an Individual selling plan to sell in Canada (Amazon.ca only), you’ll pay CAD $1.49 per unit sold.
  • If you sign up for a Professional selling plan to sell in Canada, the US, or Mexico (Amazon.ca, Amazon.com or Amazon.com.mx), you can sell in all three Amazon stores using your North American Unified Account for no additional fee. You’ll pay a set cost per month based on the Amazon store in which you registered. If you register to sell in Canada, you’ll pay CAD $29.99 per month. More than a dozen product categories are open to Canada sellers. Some categories are open to all sellers. Others require a Professional selling plan. And some categories require you to secure approval from Amazon.
In what currency will I receive my payment?
If you’re a seller based in Canada, payment will be provided in CAD. If you are a global seller, you can use the Amazon Currency Converter to receive payments in the currency of the country or region where your bank account is located.
What should I consider when expanding to Canada?
If you're looking to sell in Canada from the US, consider registering for a Canadian Business Number and Non-Resident Importer Account. You should also check the compliance of products you'd like to sell in Canada and consider partnering with a shipping provider to ship inventory to Canada.
How much does Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) cost?
Storage, fulfillment, and other FBA costs vary according to the size and weight of your products. To estimate costs for your inventory in Canada, see our Canada Pricing page. To estimate costs for your inventory in the US and Mexico, see our US Fulfillment by Amazon page and Mexico Pricing page.
How can I use Remote Fulfillment with FBA to sell in Canada?
Remote Fulfillment with FBA lets US-based sellers sell to customers in Canada, Mexico, and Brazil without sending inventory to those countries. When you enroll in the program and create offers on Amazon.ca, Amazon.com.mx, and Amazon.com.br, Fulfillment by Amazon uses your inventory in US fulfillment centers to deliver customer orders across the border.
How do I manage my Amazon selling operations?
You can use Seller Central to manage all aspects of selling with Amazon, including listing and pricing products, managing inventory and orders, and reviewing payments.
