To sell from another country to the US, you’ll follow a few basic steps:
- Decide what to sell with Amazon in each country.
- Create a North America and Brazil unified selling account and any other regional or country-specific accounts, if needed.
- List your products in each country.
- Ship inventory and fulfill customer orders.
- Manage and automate your global business with Amazon tools and programs.
Step 1: Decide what to sell
When choosing products to sell in the US, start by reviewing US taxes and regulations. You should also review Amazon requirements for product compliance, safety, and listing. You can use our Manage Your Compliance and Compliance Reference tools to help navigate product requirements. You can also use the Service Provide Network to find Amazon-vetted experts who offer competitive rates.
Next, explore Amazon product categories in the US. You can use the Best Sellers lists on Amazon.com to understand which products might be popular. Note that while some of our categories are open to all sellers, some require a Professional selling plan, some require approval from Amazon, and some can’t be sold by third-party sellers.
If a product is part of a brand enrolled in Amazon Brand Registry, your ability to list and sell it in an Amazon store may depend on your relationship with the brand.

Branded products
If you’re new to Amazon and are the rights owner for an eligible brand, we recommend enrolling it in Amazon Brand Registry before you list your products in the US and other global Amazon stores. Brand Registry is free and provides sellers with a suite additional selling benefits and protection tools, including A+ Content, Brand Analytics, and Manage Your Experiments.
After a trademark from a single country has been approved by Brand Registry, you’ll have a global account that can be used for every Amazon store worldwide.
If a product is part of a brand enrolled in Amazon Brand Registry, only a brand representative or reseller authorized by the brand can add it to the Amazon catalog using our standard listing processes (login required). After a product associated with an enrolled brand is added to the Amazon catalog, others sellers can match offers to it. They may need to secure approval for the brand before doing so.

Language considerations
Product listings need to appear in local languages. You can simplify translation for your product detail pages using the Build International Listings tool:
- If you’re matching an offer to a product that’s already listed on Amazon.com, you don’t need to provide translated product or offer information. We’ll pair your offer with the existing product detail page as it appears in English and Spanish.
- If you’re creating a new product detail page on Amazon.com, in many cases it will be automatically translated into English and Spanish. If your product page isn’t automatically translated, you can use our Service Provider Network to find a translation provider.
You’re also required to provide customer support in local languages:
- If you use Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) for customer orders, we’ll provide customer service on your behalf in English and Spanish.
- If you fulfill customer directly using Fulfilled by Merchant services, you can use the Service Provider Network to find a provider who can offer customer service in English and Spanish.
Step 2: Create a North America and Brazil unified selling account
To sell from another country to the US, you should create a Professional North America and Brazil unified account, which you can use to sell in the US, plus Canada, Mexico, and Brazil.

Getting paid
You can use the Amazon Currency Converter to have proceeds from your sales in the US deposited to a bank account in your country.
You can also use a US bank account as your deposit method for sales. Before opening a bank account in the US, we recommend consulting your legal, tax, and banking advisors, as you may need to create a legal business entity in the US.

Step 3: List your products
Ready to list products in our US store?
If you already sell in a global Amazon store, you can use the Build International Listings tool to cross-list your products on Amazon.com, as well as Amazon.ca, Amazon.com.mx, and Amazon.com.br.
If you’re listing products with Amazon for the first time, you can match offers to existing product detail pages or create new pages for your preferred Amazon store.
If you already sell in a global Amazon store, you can use the Build International Listings tool to cross-list your products on Amazon.com, as well as Amazon.ca, Amazon.com.mx, and Amazon.com.br.

- If you only want to sell in the US, match or create product listings on Amazon.com.
- If you want to sell in the US and other countries, match or create products listings in your preferred store, then use Build International Listings to cross-list in the US.
You can use Build International Lists to synchronize your prices across stores. In many cases, the tool will also automatically translate new listings into the local language.
Pricing considerations
If you already sell in a global Amazon store and use the Build International Listings tool to list products on Amazon.com, your prices will be synchronized between stores based on your existing prices and pricing rules. Build International Listings also adjusts prices periodically to reflect currency conversion fluctuations in the other countries.
You can also create separate listings and set distinct prices in each Amazon store using our standard listing processes. If you don’t synchronize your prices across stores, keep the following consideration in mind as you set prices for each country:

If you already sell with Amazon, in many cases your customer product reviews will be carried over to other global stores and automatically translated.

Step 4: Ship inventory and fulfill customer orders
You have two basic options when it comes to getting US customers their stuff.
- You can use Amazon Global Logistics (AGL), the Partner Carrier Program (PCP), or other logistics providers to export and ship your inventory to Amazon’s distribution and fulfillment network in the US. Ship your inventory to Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD) to enjoy low-cost bulk storage, or send it directly to Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA). With FBA, we store, pick, pack, and ship orders on your behalf while taking care of returns and customer service. AGL, PCP, AWD, and FBA are all part of a set of end-to-end services we call Supply Chain by Amazon.
Shipping with FBA costs 70% less per unit than comparable premium options offered by other US fulfillment services.
- Ship orders to customers yourself using a suite of solutions we call Fulfilled by Merchant. You can use our Service Provider Network to connect with Amazon-vetted providers who offer discounted rates on global shipping.
With Fulfilled by Merchant’s Amazon Buy Shipping tool, you can get pre-negotiated rates that are over 31% lower on average compared to retail ground rates for UPS, FedEx, and USPS.
Considerations for FBA worldwide
When you export inventory to Amazon fulfillment centers in other countries, you may want to handle some or all of the obligations in the import and export process yourself. You can also hire a logistics provider like a customs broker or a freight forwarder, who may have more expertise and time to ensure your inventory is transported in a timely and secure way. You must engage all logistics providers directly.

You may also be subject to customs duties, import taxes, and fees in the destination country. Amazon will not be responsible for any customs duties and taxes associated with FBA inventory. Any shipments arriving at an Amazon fulfillment center with customs duty charges due will be returned to sender.

To ship customer orders internationally, you’ll start by selecting a carrier like UPS, FedEx, or USPS. You’ll act as the exporter of record and will want to clearly communicate shipping times and fees, as well as relevant duties and taxes.
