Ready to get started?

Step 1.
Log in to Seller Central
Log in to your Seller Central account, or sign up as a seller. We recommend using a Professional selling account so you can take advantage of a full range of services.
Step 2.
Set up FBA
Enroll your selling account in FBA. Then match or create product listings in the Amazon store and select FBA as your fulfillment method.
Note: Before you can enroll eligible products in Ships in Product Packaging, they must have a buyable offer in the Amazon store fulfilled through FBA
Step 3.
Review product eligibility and update packaging
Check that your products are eligible for Ships in Product Packaging on our enrollment page. Then update your packaging design as necessary to meet our requirements for flexible packaging and rigid packaging.
Step 4.
Group products for certification
Group your eligible products by size, weight, material, packaging, and product-to-packaging ratio. Grouping reduces the number of program certifications you’ll need to submit.
Step 5.
Test a product from each group
Test the largest or heaviest product in each group to ensure it meets the requirement for Ships in Product Packaging. You can self-test if your product is less than 50lbs and doesn't contain liquids or sharp items. Or you can use a third-party lab to perform an International Safe Transit Association (ISTA) 6 lab test, if necessary.
  • If you self-test, evaluate the results, then take the required photos to submit for certification.
  • If you need to test with a third-party, you can use the Service Provide Network to find a vetted lab, or use the ISTA Certified Labs search tool. Your provider will give you an ISTA-6A lab report, which you can submit for certification.
Step 6.
Enroll and certify your products
Use our enrollment page to search for and select products and product groups. Then provide details and documentation for the products you tested. You’ll also select a date for the arrival of your first program-certified products to the Amazon fulfillment network.

Do you also sell in Canada with Amazon? After you enroll a product in Ships in Products Packaging using your US selling account, it will be automatically enrolled for Amazon.ca.
