How to get started
Step 1
Enable Shipping Settings Automation
Turn on Shipping Settings Automation in Seller Central to automatically show accurate promised delivery dates.
View detailed instructions:
- Use the gear icon in the top-right corner of Seller Central to select Settings, then Shipping settings.
- Select the Shipping Templates tab, where you can enable Shipping Settings Automation:
- For a new shipping template, select Parcel shipping, then select Ok. After choosing your ship-from locations, select Next.
- For an existing shipping template, choose the template, select Edit template, then select Edit information in the Shipping Settings Automation section. After choosing your ship-from locations, select Next.
- Choose the fullfillment type, Prime or non-Prime. Then select Next.
- Select carriers and shipping services that you currently use, then select Next.
- Review your Shipping Settings Automation preferences, then and select Confirm to save your preferences.

Enable Multi-Location Inventory by picking a setup option
- Option 1: Seller Central - Update inventory through bulk SKU upload or individual SKU updates.
- Option 2: API - Set up locations and send inventory using APIs.
- Option 3: Multichannel integrators - Connect through supported integration partners that are fully compatible with Multi-Location Inventory.

Who can participate?

Currently, the program is not available for FBA inventory.
Do I need to use multi-location inventory for all of my ASINs?
No, you can add as many or as few ASINs as you would like. To get the benefits of multi-location inventory, we recommend adding all of your ASINs.
Is there a limit to the number of locations I can utilize with multi-location inventory?
Yes, currently shipping templates are limited to 10 locations.
Do I need to put my ASINs synced with multi-location inventory on a separate shipping template?
No, your ASINs synced with multi-location inventory can be on the same shipping template as ASINs not synced with multi-location inventory. However, this shipping template should be enabled with shipping settings automation, and must include all of your inventory locations.
Do I need to have all of my multi-location inventory inventory on the same shipping template?
No, you can have your multi-location inventory inventory on as many shipping templates as you would like.
Can I use multi-location inventory for Seller-Fulfilled Prime?

What happens if I accidentally disable shipping settings automation on a shipping template that has ASINs synced with multi-location inventory?
No worries, your customers will still be able to place orders. However, your delivery promise will be based off of your manual estimation and you will not get the benefits of multi-location inventory and shipping settings automation.
