With Amazon Global Logistics, you can ship inventory directly from China to Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) and Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD) with reduced landed costs and competitive rates.

Less-than-container load (LCL)
Amazon consolidates your LCL shipments with inventory from other Amazon sellers and ships directly to fulfillment centers to save you time at your destination. By sharing a container, you can ship the right amount of inventory without having to wait to fill an entire container.

Amazon Global Logistics can optimize the placement of your inventory using our integrated network of facilities and warehouses in China and the US.
Amazon Managed Placement
We split and optimize your inventory placement across multiple US fulfillment centers and provide the fastest entry into the Amazon network. With this carton placement solution, you can reduce placement costs when you adhere to specific shipping requirements. It's a flat, all-inclusive, per-shipment rate solution that includes other destination charges required for placement. That means you won't be charged for the FBA inbound placement service separately. Use Amazon Managed Placement for shipping large bulky and standard inventory, LCL or FCL shipments using our Standard Ocean and Fast Ocean services.
Minimal shipment splits
Ship large bulky or standard inventory of the same sort type to a single Amazon fulfillment center in the US, getting it closer to your destination port and customers. If you ship containers with lower unit densities, minimal shipment splits can help lower FBA costs. Use minimal shipment splits for LCL or FCL shipments using our Standard Ocean and Fast Ocean services. Minimal shipment splits incur FBA inbound placement service costs.

Ship to AWD to enjoy an integrated, low-cost bulk storage solution that helps you stay in stock with FBA. We transport your FCL and LCL shipments from origin to an AWD facility in the US and automatically replenish your FBA inventory when it runs low. We send inventory to the right fulfillment centers to increase the potential for same-day and next-day delivery speeds for both FBA and Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF). Your inventory will be optimized for multiple destinations. Our rates include shipping cross-border and other destination charges required for placement. That means you won't be charged for the FBA inbound placement service separately.
Are there any shipping requirements when using Amazon Managed Placement?
Yes. When using Amazon Managed Placement, no more than 2,000 cartons can be shipped per 40-foot container, and no more than 1,000 cartons can be shipped per 20-foot container.
Are there any potential disadvantages for using minimal shipment splits instead of Amazon Managed Placement?
If your inventory is low unit density per container, single inbound placement could have a lower FBA inbound cost per shipment.
Does Amazon Global Logistics handle import clearance?
Yes, we provide customs brokers to expedite customs clearance at the origin and the destination.
Will Amazon Global Logistics pick up cargo from my location or supplier’s location?
Yes, we offer a service to pick up cargo from your or your supplier’s location at the origin. Please select this service when booking.
